Well hello there, glad you found me!
My name is Mary, I am a:
From a young age, I was instilled with a respect and sense of awe for the human body and it's wonderful design. The body's natural ability to find its way back to balance, when given the right tools to do so, drives my love of massage therapy and reflexology. These therapies positively impact circulation, lymphatics, musculo-skeletal issues and ultimately your nervous system (the driver of EVERYTHING!).
While massage and reflexology are amazingggggg, sometimes we need more help! From genetic weaknesses, to nutritional deficiencies, to STRESS (big one!), you name it, there are many reasons why we may need a little help to live our best life!
A little bit more about my personal health challenges: I was always a tired child, even from a young age. ESPECIALLY after I ate a meal :P
My mom really scratched her head at this and wasn't content with the answers of "well...some kids just have more energy than others". She took me to see naturopaths and other holistic practitioners, at a time when this was definitely regarded as "hippie". "Wait, the doctor asked to see your TONGUE?? Why???......what is a kidney pulse??" (PS I love Traditional Chinese Medicine)
While this DID absolutely help me to some degree, I always noticed that for all of my efforts, other kids my age just had more energy than I did, and I couldn't figure out why.
Fast forward 15+ years to coming off of hormonal birth control and seeing the effects (hair loss, hair turning white almost overnight, constant fatigue, bloating and other digestive issues, etc), I REFUSED to accept the answer "it's genetics". While we know genetics absolutely plays a role in our health, quite honestly, it's become a lazy excuse to throw our hands up in the air and say "welp, what can you do, it's those darn genetics!" If you've ever been given the dead-stop answer "it runs in your family" along with a shoulder shrug from a health professional, with all due respect, it's time to seek out a new health professional :)
So.....my latest venture into the world of HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) and Mineral Rebalancing has left my jaw on the floor, in the best way possible. Learning about the intricate world of minerals and the beautiful dance they do with one another to keep our bodies thriving gave me so many "lightbulb" moments. Finally, a huge missing piece of the puzzle in my OWN health journey seemed to fit together, and I realized the need to share this with others!
I decided to become a certified HTMA Practitioner so that I could help so many others who are tired of spending countless hours (and money!), seeing one health care professional after another (been there!), only to be left with few, if any, answers, and a severely depleted bank account.
Head on over to my HTMA & Mineral Balancing page to learn more, and see if Mineral Balancing might be a fit for you! And by the way, I am STILL a client of Mineral Balancing myself! I have made some great strides in my health, but there's more to go.
Whether you are seeing me for massage therapy, reflexology, nutritional counselling or HTMA/Mineral Balancing, I am truly honored to work with you. All of the therapies I practice professionally are therapies that have worked for me and countless others. It's my passion and belief in these practices that drive me to share them with YOU. Thanks for being here :)
